Requirements:
- Shift lengths are monitored and do not exceed 14 hours (including travel) without formal approval from a senior manager
- In exceptional circumstances personnel may work beyond 14 hours only when approved by a senior manager and with additional fatigue support
Implementation
- Workers attend site during their normally rostered hours of work
- Formal confirmation is received from a senior manager if a longer period than 14 hours (including time on site plus travel) is required to be worked
Monitoring
- Work hour records are recorded (with travel times noted by site functional workers) to provide total hours of loading on workers related to their fatigue levels
- Senior managers review hours worked and travelled reports and react as appropriate to non-conformances and negative trends
