Business Input - Two consecutive nights recovery before each new roster cycle
Expectation
Direct and indirect employees working shifts have least two consecutive nights off between roster cycles
Specification
Requirements:
- Emergency call out, shift swapping and overtime are managed so that shift workers get at least 2 consecutive nights sleep between roster cycles
- Supporting systems are designed and implemented (e.g. card access systems) so that rest breaks can be more readily confirmed
Implementation
- Work crews, including call-out crews, have sufficient breaks from work during their roster
- All workers log on to the site at the access point
Monitoring
- HR and access point reports are reviewed to monitor hours worked to identify excessive hours or insufficient breaks
- Reports on work hours are reviewed by more senior site personnel
