Even time rosters are considered at a site level to optimise lifestyle and fatigue avoidance outcomes
Specification
Requirements:
- Consultation on rosters with input from workers (who will be filling roles on the roster) and personnel with fatigue specialist skills
- Even time roster (on and off) to allow adequate rest
- Any required changes to event time will preferentially increase the number of day shifts worked
Implementation
- -Workers provide input on the optimum roster, including taking guidance from leading practice models
- Once confirmed, workers perform duties in line with roster requirements – providing adequate off-site time to balance fatigue at work and lifestyle needs
Monitoring
- Superintendents allocate workers to appropriate rosters
- Human resource team members monitor worker attendance/conformance with roster requirements and arrange for appropriate health monitoring in line with site requirements
