Requirements:
- Fatigue management systems (FMS) are specified with a requirement for self-diagnostics at start-up and on-demand
- Specifications also require system fault alarms for the FMS
- Maintenance strategies are in place for the FMS and associated self-test functions
Implementation
- Workers are trained in identifying faulty fatigue monitoring systems (FMS)
- Maintainers execute work orders on self-test functions of the FMS
- Equipment faults are escalated in line with site defect management protocols
Monitoring
- Fatigue management system (FMS) performance is reported on at a regular frequency
- Work order reports raised for the FMS are prepared by maintenance planners for review by more senior site managers
- Defects in the FMS are logged as hazards and tracked by functional workers (H&S)
