Welcome to Risk Mentor Fatigue Management

Business Input - Safety critical work outside low body clock periods

Fatigue is considered when scheduling safety critical and complex work

  • Safety critical and/or high consequence works are planned to occur on day shift or at the start of any night shift work if day shift is not possible
  • Documented requirements are in place for site short term planners
  • More critical and higher cognitive load tasks are planned to occur at the start of shift and/or optimal points in workers circadian cycle

  • Planners prepare and supervisors execute plans that consider task complexity and timing of works
  • Workers are deployed on more critical/complex tasks as practicable when they are at peak alertness points in their shift
  • Any changes to shift plans trigger a set of formal considerations in line with change management requirements

  • Supervisors reports, documenting the work done, are regularly reviewed by more senior site personnel
  • Time and roster reports are prepared by function HR personnel on site for review by more senior site personnel
