Business Input - Shift start and finish time

Shifts do not start and finish between 10 pm and 6 am.

  • Shift start and finish times are aligned with leading practice – not requiring workers to commence work at a circadian low-point (when coming off an earlier shift)
  • Rosters and tasks are matched to site requirements to minimise any potential for fatigued workers to be required to perform high consequence tasks that require high levels of alertness

  • Workers start and finish their shifts in line with site rosters
  • Any requirement to vary a start/finish time will trigger a change management process that involves communication and formal approval by a more senior site person (e.g. Superintendent or Manager)

  • Reports are prepared on hours worked by functional workers on site (HR and/or Health and Safety) for review by senior managers on site
