Welcome to Risk Mentor Fatigue Management
Business Input - Shift start and finish time
Shifts do not start and finish between 10 pm and 6 am.
Shift start and finish times are aligned with leading practice – not requiring workers to commence work at a circadian low-point (when coming off an earlier shift)
Rosters and tasks are matched to site requirements to minimise any potential for fatigued workers to be required to perform high consequence tasks that require high levels of alertness
Workers start and finish their shifts in line with site rosters
Any requirement to vary a start/finish time will trigger a change management process that involves communication and formal approval by a more senior site person (e.g. Superintendent or Manager)
Reports are prepared on hours worked by functional workers on site (HR and/or Health and Safety) for review by senior managers on site
Rail Fatigue Guidance – Incorrect design of roster by following a single source of guidance
