Expectation: All supervisors are supported so they can effectively apply site performance management processes.
Specify: Support for effective performance (discipline) management by supervisors includes:
- Providing information (and as required training) in Associated Non Technical Skills such as assertive communication, worker rights, site HR processes, and management theories (such as Just Culture)
- Provision of reporting systems to allow for straight forward capture of performance management processes being applied by a supervisor
- Regular mentoring of Supervisors by more senior personnel on site to promote ongoing conformance to support delivery of site requirements in a safe and productive work place
